A new version of LOS is now available. Here is the list of changes:
Added
- Day/night
- There is now a time in the game. Day duration is 10 minutes, night is 7 minutes, and transitions are 3 minutes
- Planet becomes darker during night
- Bed can be used to sleep and skip the night
- Weather
- Rain and snow have been added. It is not possible to have rain in too hot locations like desertic and volcanic planets, and it is not possible to have snow on other planets as the glacial one.
- Entities respawn
- If the quantity of entities on a map is very low, others can automatically respawn to repopulate the planet.
- Lightning
- Caves and buildings are now completely dark without any light added by player
- Planet becomes dark during night
- 5 new light added. Each light allows light up several tiles around them. They can be found in villages or crafted:
- Torch
- Candlestick
- Iron lantern
- Street lantern
- Last century lamp
- Villagers names
- Added villagers name and jobs above theirs heads
- Energy bar
- Player loses energy when he walks, runs, or fight. He also loses life when it snows.
- Energy bar can be restored by sleeping or eating
- Signs
- Wood sign and wood panel can be used to add text inside the game
- They can only be crafted, this is not possible to trade them or naturally find them
- A right click on wood sign allows changing the arrow direction
- Fertilizer
- Fertilizer can be used to increase growing speed of saplings and seeds
- It can also be used on pastures biomes to create new shrubs and mushrooms
- It can be found on farms and ruins, or crafter using a composter with amanita muscaria and moult
- Entities
- Boars: They appear on standard and glacial plains. They are afraid by player and start running everywhere if he walks too close to them. As boars are very strong, player can loses life if he is touched by a running boar. Killing a boar gives fur.
- Caterpillars: They appear on forests and caves. They are not dangerous, but touching them reduces players life. They give moult after being killed.
- Flies: They fly everywhere with an unpleasant sound.
- Fishes: They appear on lakes and seas. They are afraid by player, this is very difficult to kill them. Captured fishes can be eaten.
- Boxes
- Three boxes have been added: adventurer, transporter, and industrial
- Each box has a different size and a different storage capacity
- They randomly appear in buildings
Changed
- Village buildings mechanics has been reworked
- Town hall allows buying buildings plans that can be built everywhere, considering that there is enough power for the selected building
- Buildings
- More furnitures have been added inside buildings, and some of them now have particular features: lava tile in forge, office in workshop, and farmland tiles in farms
- Energy
- All food now have different nutritional values for healing and giving energy. Some food is better for healing, other for energy.
- There is now a smooth dark transition when a map is loaded or changed
- All elements and entities on the map blinks when they are hit by a player or something
- Volcanic vents, furnaces, and deep cave entrance now produces a small light
- Number of slots in crafting tables has been increased
- Fireworks now runs rockets instead of directly exploding
- Some clothes now require fur to be crafted
- Polar bear now drops fur after being killed
- Snake now drops moult after being killed
Fixed
- If a building was destroyed and another one built at the exact same location, the deleted buildings furnitures were loaded
